Pinterest recommends standard pins at a 2:3 aspect ratio, ideally 1000x1500 pixels, which displays sharply in feeds and search results. Our free Resize Image tool at https://pikdee.com/resize-image runs entirely in your browser, so your files are never uploaded to any server and your photos stay completely private.
Pinterest's standard pin format is a 2:3 aspect ratio, and the recommended pixel size is 1000x1500 pixels. Pinterest also accepts other ratios such as 1:1 (1000x1000) and 9:16 (1000x1778) for Idea Pins, but 2:3 at 1000x1500 remains the safest choice for the traditional pin format.
Only if you upscale it. Shrinking a high-resolution image to 1000x1500 keeps plenty of detail and generally looks crisp, but enlarging a small photo beyond its original dimensions causes blurriness. Starting with a source image at or above 1000x1500 gives the best results.
The 2:3 ratio (such as 1000x1500) is Pinterest's recommended and most widely used pin ratio because it fills more vertical space in the feed and ranks well in search. A 1:1 square ratio works too, but 2:3 gives your content the most screen real estate.
